Dublin born author Rob Doyle stirred the interest of those on the literary scene after the release of his critically acclaimed debut novel Here Are the Young Men in 2014, and has now consolidated his initial success with his collection of short stories, This Is The Ritual, released at the end of January with Bloomsbury.

With stories set in a number of European cities and featuring a range of fragmented, lost characters, Doyle has created a collection that's immersive, imaginative and haunting. He currently lives in Paris after gaining a First in Philosophy and an MPhil in Psychoanalysis from Trinity College Dublin, and has gained praise from the Irish Times, Independent, Sunday Times and Sunday Business Post along with celebrated authors including Colm Tóibín, John Boyne and Geoff Dyer, who said 'I have a suspicion that the author of this provocative and thrilling collection is going to get even better'.
